Vintage Casio DW-280

This old Casio had been owned and used by the customer for the past 30 years or so. As a result, the crystal had received many scratches during that time. But more recently, a larger chip or crack had formed and the customer wanted the crystal replacing as they still used the watch daily.

After this, the old crystal could be carefully pressed out and a new genuine Casio mineral crystal was supplied ready to be fitted.

The new crystal adhesive was applied and a correct genuine Casio crystal gasket used.

The module was removed from the case and put to one side for safe keeping.

As you can see, some of these old "non-G-Shock" watches by Casio were still very sturdily built. This one contains a metal insert inside the resin case.

The completed watch did not have much monetary value. However, watches can become very personal objects and the customer was thrilled to have their watch back after a "refresh"... We can all do with one from time to time, even watches!
