Tissot Seastar
A very nice little movement that is actually a re-badged Omega caliber.

Removing the centre and third wheels...

Next came the escape wheel and fourth wheel bridge...

On to the dial side, ready to remove the remaining parts...

Then removing the minute wheel and cannon pinion...

With everything back together and the movement re-cased, it's time to sit back and marvel at the beauty and craftsmanship that goes into this wonderful little machine we can wear on our wrists!

This particular watch was still fully functional but required a service as it was no longer keeping time. This involved completely disassembling every component of the movement, cleaning, re-assembling and re-lubricating before checking the timing. After the balance and first bridge are removed you can see the centre, third, fourth and escape wheels.

Removing the mainspring barrel and barrel bridge...

Then removing the pallet fork, bridge and fourth wheel...

Removing the keyless works mechanism...

After cleaning using an ultrasonic bath in both a waterless cleaning solution and a waterless rinsing solution, the parts are all ordered and packaged to remove any risk of dust or other contaminants from entering the re-assembled movement.
