Sending a repair to us

You can send your timepiece to us for repair in one of three ways:

  1. Drop-off at our premises

  2. Free local collection (for larger items)

  3. Using a postal service

Please use the descriptions below to decide which method of getting your timepiece to us is preferable to you.

Delivery Service
Box Delivery

Whichever method you choose, please always contact us first to discuss the details of the work required as your satisfaction is our priority.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish not to proceed after receiving an estimate, we will only charge an inspection fee. All postal customers will be charged an additional sum for return postage using Royal Mail Special Delivery with sufficient insurance. This postal charge will still be applicable should a postal customer not wish to proceed after receiving an estimate.

Drop-off at our premises

Due to the fragility of certain timepieces and their components, bringing the item directly to our premises is ideal. Not only does this reduce the risk of any damage during transit, it also means we get to meet customers personally and discuss the nature of the work needed. Upon receipt of your timepiece, you will be given a unique ticket number for your item. We will then contact you after an inspection has been carried out to discuss any work required and give you an estimate.

Once the work has been completed and the item tested, we will contact you for payment which can be made using cash or via bank transfer using internet banking.

Free local collection

For certain items that are large and bulky, or possibly require some disassembly before the movement can be serviced (such as long case clocks) we offer a free local collection service in and around Burton-on-Trent. It may still be possible to collect an item from further away, but a collection charge will be incurred. This charge will be dependent on distance travelled and will be agreed whilst making an appointment for collection.

Postal Service

You may prefer to send us your timepiece using a postal service. We always recommend you use an insured and tracked service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. Always contact us prior to sending to discuss details of the timepiece and provide us with your contact details before we receive the item. Upon receipt of your timepiece we will contact you to discuss any work required and give you an estimate.
