Breitling Aerospace

This Breitling Aerospace came to the workshop suffering an all too common problem with this model. Unfortunately, someone had tried to install a battery previously, but if the wrong size battery is used, or the caseback is not located correctly, it causes pressure on the LCD screen and cracks it like this

A new LCD was supplied and fitted to the movement...

And displaying the digital time along with the analogue hands.

With the movement removed you can see that a new LCD is needed to enable this Aerospace to perform all of its functions. The hands will continue to tell the right time, but the Aerospace should be able to do more than just that...

This then allowed the watch to perform its other functions such as a chronograph...

Overall, a very interesting and functional watch. The fully titanium case and bracelet also makes it very lightweight. It was ready to be returned to the customer for it to be used to calculate flight times... and time the dinner!
